Services

I offer counselling/psychotherapy, CBT and relationship/couples counselling. I also offer these in Italian. I provide workshops and seminars for corporate clients.

As a member of the B.A.C.P. (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) I follow the  B.A.C.P. code of ethics.

During this time of pandemic I offer therapy via telephone (FaceTime and Whatsapp) and Skype. If you prefer face-to-face I offer walk and talk therapy.

Psychotherapy/counselling is a type of therapy used to treat emotional problems and mental health conditions. It involves talking to a trained therapist, either one-to-one, in a group or with your wife, husband or partner. It allows you to look deeper into your problems and worries, and deal with troublesome habits and a wide range of mental disorders. Psychotherapy primarily involves talking, but sometimes other methods may be used – for example, art, music, drama and movement.

Walk and talk therapy is psychotherapy that's offered outdoors. This usually happens in a public park. The open spaces we can visit are Ruskin Park, Brockwell Park, Kensington Gardens, Holland Park and Brompton Cemetery. Perhaps you could suggest a location? Walk and talk sessions may incur a small extra cost to offset travel expenses.

Couples/relationship therapy can help when a relationship is in crisis. Both partners talk in confidence to a therapist to explore what has gone wrong in the relationship and how to change things for the better. It can help couples learn more about each other's needs and communicate better.

Couples therapy can improve the mutual support you provide for each other. Sometimes people who find it hard to open up on their own are able to attend and get something from doing so if their partner is also involved.

As a therapist I sometimes set home work to be completed between sessions. This helps the client to further explore issues discussed during therapy or try out skills experimented during the therapeutic session. The home work is agreed on collaboratively.
